Barlo Motor Group are a leading Motor Dealer Group who have 3 dealerships located in the counties of Tipperary and Kilkenny. We operate Main Dealer Franchises for Ford, Hyundai and Nissan.
A job opportunity has arisen for an Aftersales Assistant at our Barlo Hyundai dealership based in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
The successful candidate will ensure warranty claims are submitted, processed, and tracked in line with the manufacturer's policy. You will ensure customers are dealt with professionally, adhering to the manufacturer's and dealership's procedures. You will be trained in all aspects of the aftersales department, including providing holiday cover for the parts department and assisting the current Service Manager, Service advisor, and Workshop Manager in their daily roles.
Role Responsibilities:
- Processes, submits, and tracks warranty claims in line with the manufacturer’s policy thereby meeting or exceeding customer and company expectations in terms of warranty claims.
- Liaises with aftersales staff on the progress of warranty claims when required.
- Processes warranty job cards from the service advisor in line with manufacturer standards.
- Regularly review the Warranty Bulletins and implements / communicates changes identified.
- Liaises with manufacturer for information/approval on contributions.
- Completes all appropriate paperwork for each warranty claim.
- Partakes in manufacturer warranty training, audits as and when required.
- Completes any other appropriate administrative activities as specified by the Line Manager
- Be fully trained to work in other aftersales departments when the need arises.
- Meet customers on a daily basis and help with the booking process and handover process.
Our ideal candidate:
- Motor sector experience is not essential but desirable.
- Computer literate - Experience in using Microsoft applications and web-based portals.
- Strong communication skills with internal and external customers, suppliers, and the manufacturer
- Possess strong attention to detail with administrative functions.
- Ability to work independently in a busy, active environment.
- Present a consistently professional image to both internal and external customers, through attitude, behaviour, and personal appearance.
