ING is looking for a Chapter Lead Feature Engineer in the change domain of Tech Group Services Finance & Procurement organization. In addition to leading one of the priority change initiatives within the domain, the Chapter Lead also raises the craftsmanship level of the Feature Engineers by hiring, retaining and training the Feature Engineer. To help us realize our goals and ambitions we are looking for an excellent Chapter Lead Feature Engineer in this field.
A Chapter Lead Feature Engineer does the following:
- Hierarchical line-management of a group of approx. 8 Feature engineers
- Hiring of highly specialized Feature Engineers for Finance & Procurement
- Developing craftsmanship of the function and the Finance & Procurement domain
- Refines technical solution directions and technical dependencies drafted in the Epic in coordination with the Business Analyst, the Domain Architect and relevant Squad members, using his/her in-depth IT/application knowledge.
- Verifies the extent to which the realized Feature works as designed. He/she facilitates Feature planning, cooperation between Squads and the Tribe Team (if any) and Feature delivery; herewith maintaining close relationship with (business) counterpart(s)
- Analyse information at different abstraction levels to translate high level architecture into manageable solution building blocks for squads
- Understand and process different viewpoints of business and IT stakeholders to support building shared vision and strategy for implementing IT projects
- Help shape the feature roadmap in periodical planning sessions towards Vision, Themes and Epics
Your “backpack” should contain:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in IT (Engineering)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as linemanager or projectmanager
- An almost congenital disposition for excellence
- Experience in refining and designing features, challenge and advise Product Owners on feature dependencies and priorities
- Domain expertise in Accounting, Banking and Finance is a big plus
- Understanding of DataWareHousing concepts
- You’ve got experience with the agile way of software delivery
